Introduction: ThefieldofBusinessEnglishrequiresindividualstopossessstrongcriticalthinkingskillstoeffectivelyanalyzeandtacklecomplexproblems.Itisimperativeforstudentstodevelopandnurturetheircognitivethinkingabilitiestoexcelinthiscompetitivedomain.Therefore,itisessentialtoexaminethecurrentstateofcognitivethinkingtendenciesamongBusinessEnglishmajorstudentsandidentifyareasforenhancement. LiteratureReview: Theliteraturereviewfocusesontheoreticalperspectivesandempiricalstudiesrelatedtocriticalthinking,cognitivethinkingtendencies,andtheirsignificanceinthefieldofBusinessEnglish.Varioustheoriesandmodels,suchasBloom'staxonomy,theREDmodelofcriticalthinking,andPaulandElder'scriticalthinkingframework,wereexploredtounderstandtheconceptsandapplicationsofcriticalthinkingineducation. Methodology: Toconductthisempiricalstudy,amixed-methodapproachwasadopted.DatacollectioninvolvedsurveysandinterviewsadministeredtoasampleofBusinessEnglishmajorstudents.Thesurveyquestionnaireconsistedofquantitativeandqualitativequestionstogatherdataonthestudents'cognitivethinkingtendencies,includingtheirabilitytoanalyze,evaluate,andsynthesizeinformation.
