高职学生英语词汇学习策略培训的有效性研究 Introduction Vocabularyisanessentialpartofalanguage.Withoutadecentvocabulary,communicationinaforeignlanguagebecomesverydifficultandsometimesimpossible.Therefore,learningEnglishvocabularyisessentialfornon-nativeEnglishspeakers.ForChinesestudents,vocabularylearningismorechallengingduetothedifferencesinlanguagestructures,culturalbackgrounds,andteachingmethods.ManyChinesestudentsattendingvocationaleducationfaceEnglishvocabularylearningdifficulties,whichnegativelyaffecttheiracademicperformanceandfuturecareerprospects.Inthispaper,wewillinvestigatetheeffectivenessoftrainingstrategiesdesignedtoenhancetheEnglishvocabularylearningofChinesevocationalstudents. Background VocationaleducationinChinastartedinthe1920sandhasbeendevelopingrapidlysincethen.Currently,vocationalinstitutionsofferavarietyofeducationalprogramsthataimtopreparestudentsforworkindifferentindustries.Despitethisrapiddevelopment,vocationaleducationhasencounteredmanychallenges,oneofwhichisapoorproficiencyinEnglishbystudents.ManyvocationalstudentsfacedifficultyinlearningEnglish,andoneofthemainareasofdifficultyisvocabularyacquisition.Thelackofvocabularyproficiencycauseslowacademicachievement,andpoorcommunicationskills,andthiscouldnegativelyaffectemployabilityprospects. Englishvocabularyacquisitionisacomplexprocessthatrequiresavarietyoftrainingtechniquesandalotofpractice.ScholarshaverecommendedvariousapproachestoenhanceEnglishvocabularyacquisition.Somerecommendedteachingcontextualizedwords,whileothersrecommendedlearningwordsinalist.Otherpractitionerssuggestedusingtechnologytoolssuchasflashcards,andothercomputer-assistedmethods.Althoughvariousmethodsexist,teachingaparticularstrategyorcombinationoftacticsmaycontributetotheefficiencyofEnglishvocabularylearning.
