Introduction: Intoday'sglobalizedworld,internationalizationhasbecomeanimportantaspectofhighereducation.Chineseuniversitiesareincreasinglyseekingtoattractinternationalstudents,andoneofthekeywaystodosoisthroughtheirwebsites.Thehomepageintroductionisoftenthefirstpointofcontactforprospectiveinternationalstudents,andthusplaysacriticalroleinshapingtheirimpressionoftheuniversity.Therefore,thetranslationofuniversityhomepageintroductionsisofgreatimportance,notonlyforaccuratelyconveyinginformation,butalsoforeffectivelyachievingthecommunicativefunctionoftheintroduction.ThispaperaimstoexaminethetranslationstrategiesusedintranslatingChineseuniversityhomepageintroductionsandsuggestwaystoimprovetheireffectiveness.
