Methodology Thestudyanalyzed20Chineseuniversities'officialwebpagesintermsofcontent,language,andvisualdesign.Theselecteduniversitiesrepresentedadiverserangeofregions,history,anddisciplines.Theanalysisfocusedonthefollowingaspects: 1.Theprimaryfunctionsandmissionoftheuniversity,asstatedonthehomepage. 2.Thelanguageusedtodescribetheuniversity'sfunctionsandmissionandtheintendedaudience. 3.Thevisualdesignelementsusedtocommunicatetheuniversity'smessage,suchascolorscheme,images,andlayout. Results TheanalysisrevealedseveralpatternsintheChineseuniversitywebpages'presentationsoftheinstitutions'functionsandmission.Theuniversities'webpagesprimarilyemphasizedthefollowingfunctions: 1.Providinghigh-qualityeducationthatemphasizesdiscipline-specificexpertise,interdisciplinarycollaboration,andinnovation. 2.Conductingresearchthataddressescriticalsocietalchallengesandcontributestonationaldevelopment. 3.Nurturingstudents'holisticdevelopmentthroughadiverserangeofextracurricularactivitiesandsupportservices. 4.Fosteringinternationalization,includinginternationalcollaborations,globalperspectives,andcross-culturalexchanges.
