LiteratureReview: Motivationisacrucialfactorinlanguagelearning.Itcanbeclassifiedintotwotypes:intrinsicmotivationandextrinsicmotivation.Intrinsicmotivationreferstothemotivationthatcomesfromwithin,suchasinterestandenjoyment.Extrinsicmotivation,ontheotherhand,referstothemotivationthatcomesfromoutside,suchasrewardsandpunishments. ResearchDesign: Thisstudywilluseamixed-methodsapproach,includingaquestionnaireandaninterview.Thequestionnairewillbedistributedtoasampleof120highschoolstudents,andtheinterviewwillbeconductedwithtenstudentsselectedrandomlyfromthesample.Thequestionnairewillcollectinformationaboutstudents'demographics,theirmotivationforlearningEnglish,andtheirlearninghabits.Theinterviewwillexplorethereasonsbehindstudents'motivationorlackofmotivation. DataAnalysis: Thequantitativedatacollectedfromthequestionnairewillbeanalyzedbyusingdescriptivestatisticsandinferentialstatistics.Descriptivestatisticswillbeusedtosummarizethedataandtoidentifythefrequencyandpercentageoftheresponses.Inferentialstatisticswillbeusedtoanalyzetherelationshipbetweendifferentvariables.Thequalitativedatacollectedfromtheinterviewwillbetranscribedandanalyzedusingathematicanalysisapproach.
