Objectives: Theobjectivesofthisresearchare: 1.ToidentifythemotivationfactorsthatdrivechildrenofmigrantworkerstolearnEnglish. 2.Toinvestigatetheinfluenceofparents'educationalbackgroundontheirchildren'smotivationtolearnEnglish. 3.ToexaminetheimpactofEnglishlearningonthefutureprospectsofchildrenofmigrantworkers. Methodology: Thisresearchwillbeconductedusingamixed-methodapproach.Theprimarydatacollectionmethodwillbethroughsurveyquestionnairesadministeredtochildrenofmigrantworkersandtheirparentslivinginurbanareas.Thesamplesizewillbedeterminedbyusingthesamplesizecalculator,andaminimumof100participantswillberequired.Thesurveyinstrumentswillbedevelopedafteranextensiveliteraturereviewanddiscussionswithexpertsinthefield.Thesurveywillbeintheformofclosed-endedquestions,withtheoptionforadditionalopen-endedresponses.
