LiteratureReview Translationtheoryplaysacrucialroleintheprocessoftranslation.Itprovidesaframeworkfortranslatorstounderstandandanalyzetheproblemstheyencounterinthetranslationprocess.Themostinfluentialtranslationtheoriesincludetheequivalencetheory,theskopostheory,andthepolysystemtheory. Methodology Thisresearchadoptsaqualitativeapproachandemploystheskopostheoryasthemaintheoreticalframework.Theskopostheoryemphasizesthatthepurposeoftranslationshouldbetakenintoconsiderationinthetranslationprocess.Thetranslatorshouldconsiderthetargetreadersandtheculturalcontextofthetargetlanguagewhenmakingtranslationdecisions. DataCollectionandAnalysis ThedatausedinthisresearchconsistsofAiQing'spoemsandtheirEnglishtranslations.Theanalysisfocusesonthetranslationstrategiesusedbythetranslatorsandtheireffectivenessinconveyingthemeaningoftheoriginalpoems. PreliminaryFindings ThepreliminaryfindingsshowthatthetranslatorsofAiQing'spoemshaveusedvarioustranslationstrategies,includingliteraltranslation,freetranslation,andculturalsubstitution.However,theeffectivenessofthesestrategiesinconveyingthemeaningoftheoriginalpoemsvariesdependingontheculturalandlinguisticcontextofthetargetlanguage. Conclusion Translationtheoryprovidesausefulframeworkfortranslatorstounderstandandanalyzetheproblemstheyencounterinthetranslationprocess.Theskopostheoryemphasizestheimportanceofconsideringthepurposeoftranslationandtheculturalcontextofthetargetlanguage.ThefindingsofthisresearchcanshedlightonthetranslationofAiQing'spoemsandcontributetothedevelopmentoftranslationtheory.
