我喜歡為《靈命日糧》撰寫文章。然而，我也得承認，有時候我會向朋友發牢騷，
因為要把所有想表達的事情壓縮到一篇靈修短文，真的很難，多希望可以用超過
450個字數來自由發揮。

今年當我按著讀經進度讀到瑪竇福音時，我發現一件以前從未留意的事：基督受
試探的經文（瑪竇福音4章1-11節）原來這麼短，只用了342個字，就描述了
在整本聖經中最重要的事件之一；我也想起其他簡短有力的篇章：聖詠23篇（160
字）和瑪竇福音6章9-13節的主禱文（149字）。

很顯然，我並不需要更多的文字來寫好一篇文章，而是要善用它們來表達意思。
這個道理也可以應用在生活的其他層面，如：時間、金錢、空間。聖經向我們確
保，對於那些先求祂的國和祂的義的人，上主會滿足他們的需要（瑪竇福音6
章33節）。詩人達味也鼓勵我們：「尋求上主的，甚麼好處都不缺。」（聖詠34
篇10節）

如果今天你在某些事情上正想著：「再多一點就好了！」或許該換個想法：上主
給你的「正好足夠」。

主我要靜默安歇，

知足的人最為富有。

andtheLord’sprayerinMatthew6:9-13(66words).

Clearly,Idon’tneedmorewords,Ijustneedtousethemwell.Thisalsoapplies
tootherareasoflife—time,money,space.ScriptureaffirmsthatGodmeetsthe
needsofthosewhoseekHiskingdomandHisrighteousness(Matt.6:33).The
psalmistDavidencouragesus,“ThosewhoseektheLordshallnotlackanygood
thing”(Ps.34:10).

Iftodayyou’rethinking,“Ineedjustalittlebitmore”ofsomething,consider
insteadthepossibilitythatGodhasgivenyou“justenough.”
