大学生英语磨蚀实证研究 Abstract: ThisstudyaimedtoinvestigatetheeffectsofEnglishlanguageerosionamonguniversitystudentsinChina.Throughasurveyof200studentsfromfivedifferentuniversitiesacrossthecountry,thestudysoughttoexploretheextenttowhichEnglishskillsdeteriorateovertime,thefactorsthatcontributetothisdecline,andthepotentialconsequencesoflanguageerosion.TheresultsindicatedthatEnglishlanguageerosionwasaprevalentissueamonguniversitystudents,withlackofpractice,lackofinterest,andinsufficientexposuretoauthenticlanguagebeingthemaincontributingfactors.Thestudyfurtherrevealedthatlanguageerosioncouldhavenegativeimpactsonacademicperformance,jobprospects,andcommunicationwithnativespeakers.Basedonthesefindings,recommendationsarepresentedforuniversities,languageeducators,andstudentstoaddressthisissueandpromotelanguageproficiency.
