Methodology: Tocarryoutthisstudy,asurveywasconductedamongasampleofundergraduateEnglishmajors.Thesurveycontainedmultiple-choiceandopen-endedquestionstogatherquantitativeandqualitativedata.Theparticipantswereaskedabouttheirlanguageproficiencylevels,motivationtocontinuepracticingEnglish,frequencyofEnglishlanguageuse,andchallengestheyfacedinmaintainingtheirlanguageskills.Thesurveywasadministeredonlinetoensureeaseofaccessforparticipants. ResultsandDiscussion: ThefindingsofthestudyindicatedthatthereisindeedagradualerosionofEnglishlanguageproficiencyamongundergraduateEnglishmajors.Themajorityofparticipantsreportedadeclineintheirlanguageskillsaftercompletingasignificantportionoftheirdegreeprogram.Thiserosionwasattributedtoseveralfactors,includinglackofopportunitiesforpractice,limitedinteractionwithnativeEnglishspeakers,insufficientexposuretoauthenticEnglishmaterials,andreducedmotivationtocontinuestudyingEnglish. OnesignificantfactorcontributingtotheerosionoflanguageproficiencywasthedecreasingfrequencyofEnglishlanguageuseamongparticipants.ManyreportedthataftercompletingtheircoreEnglishcourses,theyhadfeweropportunitiestouseEnglishintheirdailylives.Thislackofpracticeledtoadeclineintheirspeakingandwritingskills.Additionally,participantsmentionedthatthereducedmotivationtocontinuepracticingEnglishwasasignificantobstacle,astheyfeltoverwhelmedbyotheracademiccommitmentsandfounditchallengingtoallocatetimeforlanguageim
