高中生英语写作中的母语负迁移现象研究 Title:AStudyonMotherTongueNegativeTransferinHighSchoolStudents'EnglishWriting Introduction: Languagetransferreferstotheinfluenceoflearners'mothertongue(L1)ontheirsecondlanguage(L2)learningprocess.Negativetransferoccurswhenthefeatures,rules,orstructuresofthemothertongueinterferewiththecorrectproductionofthetargetlanguage.InthecontextofEnglishwriting,highschoolstudentsoftenexperiencemothertonguenegativetransferduetotheirlimitedexposureandmasteryoftheEnglishlanguage.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatethecommoninstancesofmothertonguenegativetransferinhighschoolstudents'Englishwritingandexplorestrategiestomitigateitseffects. 1.Background: 1.1ImportanceofEnglishWritingSkills: Writtencommunicationplaysacrucialroleinacademicsuccessandfuturecareerprospects.However,manyhighschoolstudentsstrugglewithEnglishwritingduetotheinfluenceoftheirmothertongue. 1.2MotherTongueNegativeTransfer: Mothertonguenegativetransferoccurswhenstudentsunconsciouslyapplythegrammar,vocabulary,orstructuresoftheirnativelanguagetotheirEnglishwriting,resultinginerrorsandhinderingeffectivecommunication. 2.CommonInstancesofMotherTongueNegativeTransferinEnglishWriting: 2.1SyntaxErrors: DuetodifferencesinsentencestructureandwordorderbetweenEnglishandthestudents'mothertongue,theymaystrugglewithsentenceformationandexhibitincorrectsentencestructures. 2.2VocabularyMisuse: Studentsoftenrelyondirecttranslationsfromtheirmothertongue,leadingtotheuseofinappropriatevocabularyorphrasesthatdonotaccuratelyconveytheirintendedmeaninginEnglish. 2.3PronunciationandPhonetics: StudentsmaystrugglewithproperpronunciationandphoneticsduetophoneticdifferencesbetweentheirmothertongueandEnglish,leadingtodifficultiesinaccuratelyconveyingtheirmessage. 3.FactorsInfluencingMotherTongueNegativeTransfer: 3.1LinguisticDistance: Thelinguisticdistancebetweenthestudents'mothertongueandEnglishcaninfluencetheseverityofnegativetransfer.Languageswithsimilargrammaticalstructuresmayresultinmorecomplexitiesthanlanguageswithdifferentstructures
