高中生英语课堂口语焦虑调查研究——以深圳科学高中为例的中期报告 Introduction Inrecentyears,EnglishhasbecomeincreasinglyimportantinChina.WiththeglobalinfluenceoftheEnglish-speakingworldandthegrowingemphasisoninternationalcommunication,demandforEnglishproficiencyamongChinesehighschoolstudentshasincreasedsignificantly.Asaresult,Englishhasbecomeakeysubjectinhighschooleducation,andstudentsarerequiredtoachievehighlevelsoforalandwrittenfluency.However,manystudentsexperienceanxietyandfrustrationinEnglishspeakingcourses,whichcanaffecttheiroverallacademicperformanceandself-esteem.ThisreportinvestigatesthecausesandeffectsofEnglishclassroomspeakinganxietyamonghighschoolstudents,focusingonstudentsofShenzhenScienceHighSchool(SSHS). Objectives Theobjectivesofthisresearchare: 1.ToidentifythefactorsthatcontributetoEnglishclassroomspeakinganxietyamonghighschoolstudents. 2.ToanalyzetheeffectsofEnglishclassroomspeakinganxietyonacademicperformanceandself-esteem. 3.ToprovidestrategiesandsolutionstoalleviateEnglishclassroomspeakinganxiety. Methods DatawerecollectedfromthestudentsofSSHSthroughquestionnaires,interviews,andclassroomobservations.Thedatawereanalyzedusingthematicanalysistoidentifycommonthemesandpatterns.Atotalof100studentswereconsideredasthesamplesize. Results TheresultsofthestudyrevealedthatEnglishclassroomspeakinganxietyisacommonissueamonghighschoolstudents,specificallyofSSHS.Thefactorsthatcontributetospeakinganxietyinclude: 1.Fearofmakingmistakes:Manystudentsareafraidofmakinggrammaticalerrorsormispronouncingwords.Thisfearcreatesapsychologicalbarrierthatinhibitstheirabilitytospeakfluently. 2.Concernsaboutaccent:Studentsoftenexperienceanxietyabouthavingaforeignaccentthatmaybeconsideredunacceptable.Thisconcernaffectstheirwillingnesstospeakandimpedestheirprogress. 3.Lackofpreparation:Studentswhofeelunder-preparedorinadequatelytrainedforEnglishspeakingexamsexperienceheightenedanxietyintheclassroom. 4.Groupdynamics:Classroomandpeergroupdynamicsplayasignificantroleintheanxietyexperiencedbystudents.Studentswhofeel
