Thepredictioneffectofcausalrelationshipsinreadinghasbeenpreviouslyinvestigatedusingeye-trackingmethodologies.Manyofthesestudieshaveconfirmedthepredictioneffecthypothesis,wheretheprocessingoftheupcomingcontentwasinfluencedbypriorcontext(Ericksonetal.,2018;Vasishthetal.,2013).Thefocusofthisstudyistoinvestigatefurthertherelationshipbetweenthepredictioneffectandthedegreeofcausalrelationshipspresentedwithinthetext.
