认知阐释视角下的英语习语转喻汉译的研究的中期报告 Abstract摘要 Thisreportaimstoprovideamid-termoverviewoftheongoingresearchonthetranslationofEnglishidiomsfromcognitive-explanatoryperspective.TheresearchadoptsaqualitativeapproachinexaminingthecognitiveprocessesinvolvedinthecomprehensionandtranslationofEnglishidiomaticexpressionsintoChinesemetaphoricalexpressions.ThedatausedintheresearcharesourcedfromEnglishtoChinesetranslationtasksconductedbyadvancedChineselearnersofEnglish.Thepreliminaryfindingsshowthatthetranslationofidiomaticexpressionsinvolvesnotonlythelinguisticaspectsbutalsothecognitiveandculturalaspects,andthetranslationofidiomaticexpressionsisacomplexprocessthatrequiresthetranslatorstohaveagoodunderstandingofboththesourceandtargetlanguagesandcultures. 本报告旨在提供一份未成完稿的有关从认知阐释视角下对英语习语转喻进行翻译的研究的中期报告。本研究采用定性分析的方法,旨在探究认知过程对英语习语理解和翻译成中文隐喻表达的影响。研究数据来源于英语母语的高级中文学习者对英语到中文的翻译任务。初步研究结果表明,习语表达的翻译不仅涉及到语言方面的问题,还涉及到认知和文化方面的因素。习语表达的翻译是一个复杂的过程,需要翻译者对源语和目标语言和文化有很好的理解。 Introduction简介 Currently,thestudyoftranslationhasbecomeincreasinglyinterdisciplinary,andcognitivelinguisticshasbecomeoneofthemostprominentframeworksintranslationstudies.Aspartofcognitivelinguistics,cognitive-explanatoryperspectivehasbeenwidelyappliedtothestudyofmetaphorandidiomaticexpressions.Thecognitive-explanatoryperspectivepositsthatourconceptualsystemisthefundamentalmechanismunderlyinglanguageandthought.Therefore,thecognitiveandculturalfactorsinthesourceandtargetlanguagesplayacrucialroleintheprocessoftranslation,especiallyinthetranslationofidiomaticexpressions. ThisongoingresearchaimstoinvestigatethecognitiveprocessesinvolvedinthecomprehensionandtranslationofEnglishidiomsintoChinesemetaphoricalexpressionsfromacognitive-explanatoryperspective.Theresearchadoptsaqualitativeapproach,focusingonthecognitiveandculturalfactorsthatcontributetothetranslationofEnglishidioms.ThedatausedinthestudyaresourcedfromEnglishtoChinesetranslationtasksconductedbyadvancedChineselearnersofEnglish.
