大学生英语学习成败归因、学习策略与学习成绩关系的研究 Introduction: Englishlearningisoneofthekeyaspectsoftertiaryeducationforstudentsinmanycountries.ProficiencyinEnglishnotonlyequipsstudentswiththeskillsrequiredforacademicsuccessbutalsoenhancescareerprospectsinaglobalizedeconomy.However,despitetheimportanceofEnglishproficiency,manystudentsfinditchallengingtoachievehighlevelsofcompetence.ThispaperexploresthefactorsthatcontributetothesuccessorfailureofEnglishlearningamonguniversitystudents,thevariousstrategieslearnersusetoenhancetheirlanguageproficiency,andtherelationshipbetweenthesestrategiesandacademicachievement. FactorsContributingtoEnglishLearningSuccessorFailure: SeveralfactorscaninfluencethesuccessorfailureofEnglishlearningamonguniversitystudents.Thesefactorsmayincludepersonal,institutional,andculturalfactors.Personalfactorsincludelearners'motivation,self-esteem,andself-confidence.Learnerswhoarehighlymotivatedtendtobemoresuccessfulthanthosewholackmotivation.Institutionalfactorsincludethequalityofteachingandlearningresourcessuchastextbooks,infrastructure,andtheavailabilityofEnglishlanguagelabs.Culturalfactorsmayincludetheinfluenceofpeers,family,andcommunitycultureonlearning.Forinstance,learnerswhocomefromEnglish-speakingcommunitiesmayhaveanadvantageoverthosewhodonothaveexposuretoEnglish. EnglishLearningStrategies: LearnersemployvariouslearningstrategiestoimprovetheirEnglishproficiency.Thesestrategiesmayvarydependingonindividualpreferences,learningstyle,andpreviousexperiencewithlanguagelearning.Commonstrategiesusedbystudentsincludememorization,practice,communicationwithnativespeakers,andimmersion.Somestudentsmayalsousetechnologysuchaslanguagelearningapps,onlinedictionaries,andvirtuallanguagetutoringservices.
