Introduction: Para-hydroxybenzoicacidestershavegainedsignificantattentioninrecentyearsduetotheirwiderangeofapplicationsaspreservatives.Ethylparabenandpropylparabenaretwocommonlyusedestersintheindustry.Despitetheirwidespreaduse,concernshavebeenraisedregardingtheirstability,particularlyundervaryingenvironmentalconditions.Understandingthefactorsthatinfluencetheirstabilityiscrucialforensuringtheefficacyandsafetyofproductscontainingthesecompounds. Methods: Thestabilitystudieswereconductedbysubjectingethylparabenandpropylparabentovariousconditions.DifferentpHlevelsrangingfromacidictoalkalinewereemployed,andthesampleswerestoredatdifferenttemperatures.Additionally,theimpactoflightexposureandthepresenceofvarioussolventswereinvestigated.Thestabilityoftheesterswasmonitoredoveraspecificperiodusinganalyticaltechniques,suchashigh-performanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)andspectroscopicanalysis. ResultsandDiscussion: ThestabilitystudiesrevealedthatbothethylparabenandpropylparabenarerelativelystableunderneutralpHconditions.However,theywerefoundtodegrademorerapidlyunderalkalineconditions.ThissuggeststhatthepHoftheformulationorproductplaysacrucialroleindeterminingthestabilityoftheseesters.Temperaturewasalsofoun
