Introduction: EnglisheducationinKoreanelementaryschoolsisanessentialcomponentofforeignlanguageeducation.However,KoreanteachersofKoreannationalityoftenencounterchallengesinteachingEnglish,includinglinguisticbarriers,culturaldifferences,andlimitedresources.EffectivereflectionandstrategicplanningarecrucialforKoreanteacherstoimprovetheirteachingeffectivenessandpromotestudents'languageproficiency. CurrentSituationofEnglishTeachingforKoreanElementarySchoolTeachers: 1.LimitedEnglishProficiency:ManyKoreanteachersfacechallengesduetotheirlimitedproficiencyinEnglish.Theymaystrugglewithpronunciation,grammar,andfluency,whichcannegativelyimpacttheirteachingeffectiveness. 2.InsufficientResources:Koreanteachersoftenfaceashortageofqualityteachingresourcesandmaterials,makingitdifficulttocreateengagingandinteractiveEnglishlessons.Thislimitationrestrictsteachers'abilitytooffervarietyandcreativityintheirteachingmethods. 3.CulturalDifferences:KoreanculturedifferssignificantlyfromEnglish-speakingcultures,makingitchallengingtointroduceandexplainculturalaspectsoftheEnglishlanguage.Thislackofculturalcontextmayhinderstudents'understandingandengagementwiththelanguage. 4.LackofProfessionalDevelopment:KoreanteachersoftenlackopportunitiesforprofessionaldevelopmentinEnglishteaching.Theabsenceofongoingtrainingandsupportpreventsthemfromstayingupdatedwithnewteachingmethodsandapproaches.
