Introduction: HighschoolEnglishteachersplayacrucialroleinequippingstudentswiththenecessarylanguageskillsforacademicsuccessandfuturecareerdevelopment.Understandinghowteachersconstructtheiridentityintheclassroomandtheimpacttheirdiscoursehasontheirteachingpracticesisessentialforimprovingeducationaloutcomes.ThisresearchinvestigatestheroleandidentityofhighschoolEnglishteachersthroughananalysisofteacherdiscourse,focusingonitsimplicationsforteachingandlearning. Methodology: Theresearchmethodologyemployedinthisstudyisqualitativeinnature.ClassroomobservationswillbeconductedinseveralhighschoolEnglishclassrooms,andteacher-studentinteractionswillberecordedandtranscribed.Thedatacollectedwillbeanalyzedusingthematicanalysistoidentifypatternsinteachertalkanditsimpactonteachingpracticesandstudentengagement.
