Introduction: Trigonometryisabranchofmathematicsthatdealswiththerelationshipsandpropertiesofanglesandtriangles.Itisafundamentaltopicinhighschoolmathematicscurriculaworldwide.Trigonometryenablesstudentstosolveproblemsinvolvingtriangles,vectors,periodicphenomena,andmore.Assuch,itisessentialtoexploreandcomparetheapproachestoteachingtrigonometricfunctionsinhighschoolcurriculainChinaandEngland. Methodology: Toconductthiscomparativestudy,weanalyzedthemathematicscurriculaandsyllabiofhighschoolsinChinaandEngland.Additionally,wereviewedrelevanttextbooks,teachingmaterials,andeducationalpoliciestogainacomprehensiveunderstandingoftheteachingmethodsemployed.Thestudyalsoinvolvedinterviewswithhighschoolmathematicsteacherstogathertheirperspectivesandexperiencesontheteachingoftrigonometricfunctions.
