Methodology: Togatherdataforthisresearch,asurveywasconductedamongasampleofhighschoolstudents.Thesurveyconsistedofbothclosed-endedandopen-endedquestions,allowingstudentstoprovidequantitativeaswellasqualitativeresponses.Thesamplesizewaschosentoensurerepresentationfromdifferentgradesandproficiencylevels. FindingsandAnalysis: 1.Motivation: ThestudyrevealedthatthemajorityofhighschoolstudentshadamoderatelevelofmotivationtowardsEnglishlistening.Whilesomestudentsexpressedagenuineinterestandunderstandingoftheimportanceoflisteningskills,otherslackedmotivationduetovariousreasons,suchastheperceptionthatlisteningwasdifficultandlessrewardingthanotherEnglishlanguageskillssuchasspeakingorwriting. 2.StudyHabits: Theresearchalsohighlightedthesignificantroleofstudyhabitsinthedevelopmentoflisteningskills.Itwasfoundthatasignificantproportionofhighschoolstudentsspentlittletimepracticinglisteningoutsidetheclassroom.Manyreliedsolelyonclassroominstructionanddidnotengageinadditionallisteningactivities,suchaswatchingEnglishmovies,listeningtomusicorpodcasts,orconversingwithnativeEnglishspeakers. 3.ExposuretoAuthenticListeningMaterials: Anotherkeyfindingwasthelimitedexposureofhighschoolstudentstoauthenticlisteningmaterials.Themajorityofstudentsprimarilyreliedoncoursetextbooksandlanguagelearningapps,whichoftenfeatureartificialandscripteddialogues.Thus,theirlisteningpracti
