美国“全国大学生学习性投入调查”(NSSE)研究 Introduction TheNationalSurveyofStudentEngagement(NSSE)isanannualsurveyconductedintheUnitedStatestomeasurehowundergraduatestudentsspendtheirtimeandthequalityoftheiracademicexperiences.Thesurveyaimstoprovideuniversitiesandcollegeswithdatatoimprovelearningoutcomesandenhancetheoveralleducationalexperienceforstudents.ThispaperdiscussestheNSSEsurvey,itspurpose,andthebenefitsofconductingthesurveyforuniversitiesandcolleges. PurposeofNSSE TheNSSEsurveyisdesignedtoassessthelevelofstudentengagementinauniversityorcollege.Studentengagementreferstothetimeandeffortthatstudentsdedicatetoeducationalactivitiesbothinsideandoutsidetheclassroom.Thesurveyassessesfivekeyareasofstudentengagement:levelofacademicchallenge,activeandcollaborativelearning,student-facultyinteraction,enrichingeducationalexperiences,andsupportivecampusenvironment. TheNSSEresultsprovideasnapshotofthequalityofundergraduateeducationataparticularinstitution.Thesurveyprovidesuniversitiesandcollegeswithvaluableinformationonthestrengthsandweaknessesofeducationalprograms,areasthatneedimprovement,andopportunitiesforenhancingthequalityoftheeducationalexperienceforstudents.Thesurveyresultsalsoprovideanopportunityforbenchmarkingagainstpeerinstitutionsandfortrackingchangesinstudentengagementovertime. BenefitsofNSSE TheNSSEsurveyprovidesmanybenefitsforuniversitiesandcolleges.Firstly,thesurveyhelpsinstitutionstoidentifyareaswheretheyneedtoimprove.Thesurveyresultscanidentifyspecificareasthatstudentsfindchallenging,suchasthelevelofacademicchallenge,orareasthatstudentsfeelarenotsupported,suchasthecampusenvironment.Armedwiththisknowledge,institutionscandevelopstrategiesandinitiativesthataddressthesechallengesandenhancethequalityofeducation.
