英语读写模式结合的实验研究 Introduction Readingandwritingaretwoessentiallanguageskillsthatplayanimportantroleinlanguagelearning.Readingreferstotheabilitytocomprehendandinterpretwrittenmaterials,whilewritingistheprocessofcreatingwrittenworksbygeneratingideasandorganizingthemintoacohesivepiece.Manystudieshaveinvestigatedtherelationshipbetweenreadingandwriting,andtheresultsindicatethatthesetwoskillsarecloselyconnected.However,thereisstillaneedforfurtherresearchontheeffectivenessofincorporatingbothreadingandwritinginlanguagelearning. Thispaperpresentsareviewofexperimentalstudiesthathaveexaminedtheimpactofincorporatingcombinedreadingandwritingactivitiesinlanguagelearning.Thepaperbeginsbyprovidinganoverviewofthetheoreticalbackgroundofthetopicandthenproceedstodiscusstheresearchmethodologyusedinthestudies.Finally,thepaperpresentstheresultsofthestudiesandtheirimplicationsforlanguagelearning. TheoreticalBackground Accordingtocumulativeresearch,thereisastrongcorrelationbetweenreadingandwriting(Shanahan&Shanahan,2008;Graham&Hebert,2011).Ithasbeenshownthatreadingandwritingsharecognitiveprocesses,suchascomprehension,vocabulary,andsyntax,whichfacilitatethedevelopmentoftheseskills(Berningeretal.,2010;Venezky&Paolitto,1999).Integratingreadingandwritingactivitiesnotonlyenhancestheeffectivenessandefficiencyofthelearningprocessbutalsoimproveslearners’languageproficiency(Festman&Kormos,2014). Moreover,combinedreadingandwritingtasksprovideanopportunityforlearnerstopracticedifferentlanguageskillswithinameaningfulcontext(Hyland&Hamp-Lyons,2002).Thisleadstothedevelopmentofadeeperunderstandingofthelanguagerulesandstructuresandpromotestheuseofvariouslanguagefunctions,includingargumentation,explanation,andnarrative(Raeisi&Ashouri,2018).Thus,incorporatingreadingandwritingtasksisaneffectivewaytoimprovelearners’languageabilitiesandfostertheircriticalthinkingskills.
