SchemaTheoryandEnglishListeningTeaching Accordingtoschematheory,individualshaveexistingknowledgestructuresorschemataintheirmindsthatenablethemtomakesenseofnewinformation.InthecontextofEnglishlisteningteaching,schematacanrefertostudents’priorknowledgeofthelanguage,suchasvocabulary,grammar,andpronunciation,aswellastheirfamiliaritywithvarioustopicsandculturalreferences.
