I.CausesofEmotionalBarriersinEnglishLearning: 1.Lackofconfidence:ManyvocationalcollegestudentsoftenlackconfidenceintheirEnglishlanguageabilitiesduetolimitedexposureandpreviousunfavorablelearningexperiences.Thislackofconfidencecancauseanxiety,fearofmakingmistakes,andlowself-esteem,allofwhichimpedetheirprogressinlearningEnglish. 2.Fearofjudgment:VocationalcollegestudentsmayfearbeingjudgedbypeersorteacherswhenspeakingEnglish,whichcanleadtoself-consciousnessandreluctancetoparticipateinclassroomactivities.Thefearofmakingerrorsorbeingridiculedinhibitstheirlanguagelearninggrowth. 3.Culturaldifferences:Culturaldifferencesbetweenthestudents'nativelanguageandEnglishcanalsocontributetoemotionalbarriers.Varyingculturalnorms,linguisticexpressions,anddifferentcommunicationstylesmaymakeitdifficultforstudentstoexpressthemselveseffectively,leadingtofrustrationanddiscouragement. 4.Learningenvironment:Thelearningenvironmentinvocationalcollegesoftenfocusesonpracticalskillsratherthanlanguageproficiency.LimitedEnglishclasses,lackofresources,andinadequateexposuretoEnglish-speakingenvironmentscanhinderstudentsfromeffectivelymasteringthelanguageskills,resultinginincreasedstressandanxiety.
