Introduction: Gallbladderstones,whicharealsoknownasgallstones,areacommonhealthissuethataffectspeopleallovertheworld.Thesestonesareformedwhenbile,afluidproducedbytheliver,isstoredinthegallbladder.Gallstonescanvaryinsizeandcancauseavarietyofsymptoms.Thetraditionalsurgicaltreatmentforgallstonesinvolvesanopencholecystectomy,whichinvolvesmakingalargeincisionintheabdomen.However,advancementsinmedicaltechnologyhavemadelaparoscopiccholecystectomyamorepopularandcommontreatmentmethodforgallstones. Methods: Toevaluatetheeffectivenessandadvantagesoflaparoscopiccholecystectomyinthetreatmentofgallstonedisease,aliteraturesearchwasconductedusingvariousdatabasesincludingPubMed,CochraneLibrary,andWebofScience.Thesearchtermsusedincluded“laparoscopiccholecystectomy”,“gallstones”,and“opencholecystectomy”.InclusioncriteriaforthestudywerearticlespublishedinEnglishlanguageandrelatedtothetopicoflaparoscopiccholecystectomyforgallstones.Exclusioncriteriawerearticlesnotrelatedtothetopic,notinEnglishlanguage,andthosethatwerenotavailableinfulltext. Results: Atotalof20articleswereselectedforinclusioninthisstudy.Thesearticlesprovidedinformationontheeffectivenessandadvantagesoflaparoscopiccholecystectomyforthetreatmentofgallstones.Theresultsshowedthatlaparoscopiccholecystectomyisasafeandeffectivemethodoftreatinggallstones.Ithasbeenfoundtobeassociatedwithfewercomplications,shorterhospitalstays,andfasterrecoverytimescomparedtoopencholecystectomy.Overall,laparoscopiccholecystectomyhasbeenshowntoresultinabetterqualityoflifeforp
