Background Professionalidentityreferstoateacher'sself-perception,professionalbeliefs,values,andattitudes.Itisanintegralpartofateacher'seffectivenessintheclassroomandoveralljobsatisfaction.Duringtheirinitialyears,noviceteachersfacenumerouschallenges,suchasclassroommanagement,curriculumdesign,andadaptingtotheschoolenvironment.Thesechallengesoftenshapetheirprofessionalidentity. Methodology Thisresearchemployedaqualitativecasestudydesign,utilizingsemi-structuredinterviewsanddocumentanalysis.TheparticipantsconsistedoffivenovicehighschoolEnglishteacherswhohadbeenteachingforlessthanthreeyears.Thedatacollectedduringinterviewsanddocumentanalysiswerecarefullyanalyzedusingthematicanalysis. Findings Theme1:InfluenceofTeacherEducation Theteacher'seducationandtrainingplayasignificantroleinshapingtheirprofessionalidentity.Participantswhohadreceivedcomprehensiveteachertrainingfeltmoreconfidentintheirabilitiesandhadaclearerunderstandingoftheirprofessionalidentity.Ontheotherhand,thosewholackedpropertrainingexperiencedadisconnectbetweentheirexpectationsandtherealitiesoftheteachingprofession. Theme2:MentoringandSupport Thepresenceofmentorshipandsupportivecolleaguespositivelyinfluencedthedevelopmentofprofessionalidentity.Noviceteacherswhohadaccesstomentorsandexperiencedteachersfeltmoresupported,whichhelpedthemnavigatethechallengesmoreeffect
