新手高中英语教师职业认同发展个案研究 Title:ACaseStudyontheProfessionalIdentityDevelopmentofNoviceHighSchoolEnglishTeachers Introduction Theteachingprofessionplaysacrucialroleinshapingthefutureofindividualsandsocieties.Amongthevariousteachingdisciplines,Englishteachershaveauniquepositioninpreparingstudentsforeffectivecommunicationskillsandglobalcitizenship.However,theinitialyearsofanovicehighschoolEnglishteacher'scareercanbechallenging,astheymustnavigatethecomplexitiesoftheeducationsystemwhiledevelopingtheirprofessionalidentity.ThisstudyaimstoexplorethedevelopmentofprofessionalidentityamongnovicehighschoolEnglishteachersandanalyzethefactorsthatinfluencethisdevelopment. Background Professionalidentityreferstoateacher'sself-perception,professionalbeliefs,values,andattitudes.Itisanintegralpartofateacher'seffectivenessintheclassroomandoveralljobsatisfaction.Duringtheirinitialyears,noviceteachersfacenumerouschallenges,suchasclassroommanagement,curriculumdesign,andadaptingtotheschoolenvironment.Thesechallengesoftenshapetheirprofessionalidentity. Methodology Thisresearchemployedaqualitativecasestudydesign,utilizingsemi-structuredinterviewsanddocumentanalysis.TheparticipantsconsistedoffivenovicehighschoolEnglishteacherswhohadbeenteachingforlessthanthreeyears.Thedatacollectedduringinterviewsanddocumentanalysiswerecarefullyanalyzedusingthematicanalysis. Findings Theme1:InfluenceofTeacherEducation Theteacher'seducationandtrainingplayasignificantroleinshapingtheirprofessionalidentity.Participantswhohadreceivedcomprehensiveteachertrainingfeltmoreconfidentintheirabilitiesandhadaclearerunderstandingoftheirprofessionalidentity.Ontheotherhand,thosewholackedpropertrainingexperiencedadisconnectbetweentheirexpectationsandtherealitiesoftheteachingprofession. Theme2:MentoringandSupport Thepresenceofmentorshipandsupportivecolleaguespositivelyinfluencedthedevelopmentofprofessionalidentity.Noviceteacherswhohadaccesstomentorsandexperiencedteachersfeltmoresupported,whichhelpedthemnavigatethechallengesmoreeffect
