非英语专业研究生英语学习动机调查研究 摘要 非英语专业研究生是指本科或研究生阶段学习的非英语专业的学生,他们必须面对英语阅读、表达和听力等问题,并在学习中不断提高自己的英语水平。本文旨在探讨非英语专业研究生的英语学习动机,通过问卷调查和文献综述的方式,分析了研究生在学习英语时的内在与外在动机,以及如何影响他们的英语学习。调查结果表明,非英语专业研究生的英语学习动机主要来源于学业需求、工作需求和个人兴趣;同时课程设置、教师教学方法和自身学习条件也对研究生的英语学习动机起到重要的影响,提高研究生英语学习动机的策略如丰富教学内容,增强实践环节,提供个性化学习等。 关键词:非英语专业研究生,英语学习动机,学业需求,工作需求,个人兴趣 Introduction Inrecentyears,withthedevelopmentofinternationalizationandglobalization,Englishhasbecomethemostwidelyusedlanguageintheworld.Therefore,theEnglishlanguagehasbecomeacompulsorycourseinmanyuniversities,especiallyfornon-Englishmajors.Non-EnglishmajorpostgraduatestudentsarefacedwithchallengessuchaslearningEnglishinashorttime,poorlanguageproficiency,andinsufficientabilitytouseEnglishindailylife,work,andresearch.Therefore,understandingtheEnglishlearningmotivationofnon-EnglishmajorpostgraduatestudentsisveryimportantforimprovingtheirEnglishproficiency. Motivationiscrucialtolearners'languagelearning.Psychologistsandlinguistshaveputforwardmanytheoriesandconceptsaboutlanguagelearningmotivation,suchasSelf-DeterminationTheory,InstrumentalityTheory,andExpectancy-ValueTheory.Thesetheoriesprovidereferencesforlanguagelearningmotivationresearchandgiveguidancetoimprovestudents'motivation.Therefore,thepurposeofthisstudyistoinvestigatetheEnglishlearningmotivationofnon-Englishmajorpostgraduatestudents,explorethefactorsthataffecttheirEnglishlearningmotivation,andputforwardeffectivestrategiestoimprovetheirEnglishlearningmotivation.
