博物馆文物文本英译现状调查与分析——以武汉市博物馆为例 InvestigationandAnalysisoftheCurrentSituationofEnglishTranslationofTextsonCulturalRelicsinMuseums:TakingWuhanMuseumasanExample Abstract AsChinahasbecomeanincreasinglypopulartouristdestination,museumshavebecomeimportanttargetsforoverseasvisitors.ProvidingEnglishtranslationsofculturalrelictextsisvitaltoenhancevisitors'culturalexperiencesandpromoteculturalexchanges.ThisstudyfocusesonthecurrentsituationofEnglishtranslationsofculturalrelictextsinWuhanMuseumthroughfieldobservationsandonlinesurveys.ThefindingsrevealsomedeficienciesinthequalityandquantityofEnglishtranslationsofculturalrelictextsinWuhanMuseum.Thestudysuggeststhatmuseumauthoritiesshouldtakefurthermeasurestoimprovethetranslationquality,transparencyandeffectivenessinpublicizingEnglishtexts. Introduction AsmuseumsarebecomingthekeydriversofculturaltourisminChina,museumshavegraduallybecomeimportanttargetsforcultureexchangeandtouristconsumption.Toimprovevisitors'culturalexperienceandtofacilitateculturalexchanges,itisessentialtoprovideEnglishtranslationsofculturalrelictextsinmuseums.TheEnglishtranslationofculturalrelictextsenablesforeignerstohaveanin-depthunderstandingofChina'srichculturalheritage,andcanenhancethepromotionofexchangesbetweenculturesandnations. WuhanMuseumislocatedatthefootofthefamousYellowCraneTowerinWuhancity,China.Withitsrichculturalrelics,itisarenownedmuseuminChina.ThisstudyfocusesonthetranslationsofculturalrelictextsinWuhanMuseum,assessingtheircurrentsituationandidentifyingwaystoimprovetheirquality. Methodology Toachievetheobjectivesofthisstudy,fieldobservationsandonlinesurveyswereconducted.FieldobservationsoftheWuhanMuseumwerecarriedouttoassessthecurrentstateoftheEnglishtranslationsofculturalrelictextsinthemuseum.Onlinesurveyswereconductedtosupplementtheinformationprovidedbythefieldobservations.ThesurveycoveredtheopinionsofvisitorstoWuhanMuseumregardingthetranslationsofculturalrelictexts,aswellastheircommentsonthequalityofthetranslations. Results Fieldobservationsreve
