初中英语语音教学对提高口语流利性效用的研究 Introduction Withtherapiddevelopmentofglobalization,Englishhasbecomeaninternationallanguagethatwidelyusedinvariousfieldssuchaspolitics,business,science,andtechnology.Asaresult,theimportanceofEnglishlearninghasbeenhighlyemphasizedinmanycountries,especiallyinChina.However,manystudentshaveacommonprobleminEnglishlearning,whichisthelowleveloforalproficiency.TheprimaryreasonisthatthetraditionalteachingmodelsofEnglishfocusmoreongrammarandvocabulary,butneglecttheimportanceofphoneticsandpronunciation.Therefore,thispaperaimstoexploretheeffectofphoneticinstructiononimprovingstudents’oralfluencyinEnglishlearning. Background Phoneticsisoneoftheessentialcomponentsoflanguagelearning,whichmainlyfocusesonthesound,accent,andintonationoflanguage.Effectivephoneticinstructioncangreatlyimprovestudents'pronunciationaccuracyandenhancetheirlisteningandspeakingskills.However,intraditionalChineseeducation,phoneticsteachinghasalwaysbeenunderestimatedandunderemphasized,whichleadstotheweakphoneticawarenessandpoorpronunciationofmanyChinesestudents.Asaresult,students'oralfluencyinEnglishissignificantlylimited. StudieshaveshownthatstudentswhohavereceivedphoneticinstructionhaveperformedbetterinEnglishpronunciationandoralproficiencytests(Baker,2011).Furthermore,phoneticinstructioncansignificantlyimprovestudents'perceptionofEnglishsoundsandtheirabilitytoproducesoundscorrectly(Wu,2020).Therefore,phoneticinstructionisaneffectiveapproachtopromoteoralfluencyandovercomestudents'pronunciationbarriersinEnglishlearning. Methodology Thisresearchadoptedaqualitativeresearchmethod,includingaliteraturereviewandacasestudy.Aliteraturereviewwasconductedtoexploretheimportanceofphoneticinstructioninlanguagelearningandtheeffectofphoneticsonimprovingstudents'oralproficiency.AcasestudywasconductedinamiddleschoolinChina.Theparticipantswere30studentswhowereselectedrandomlyfromtheseventhgrade.Theyweredividedintotwogroups:theexperimentalgroupandthecontrolgroup.Theexperimentalgroupreceivedphoneticinstruct
