初中生英语听力焦虑与听力成绩间的相关性研究--以武汉某初中为例的开题报告 【Abstract】ListeningisanimportantskillinEnglishlanguagelearning,butmanyjuniorhighschoolstudentsfinditdifficulttoimprovetheirlisteningscores.ThisresearchaimstoexploretherelationshipbetweenlisteninganxietyandlisteningperformanceofjuniorhighschoolstudentsinaschoolinWuhan.Usingquestionnairesandlisteningtests,thestudyanalyzedthedatacollectedfrom120students.Theresultsshowedthatlisteninganxietyandlisteningperformancewerecloselyrelated.Differentlevelsoflisteninganxietyhaddifferenteffectsonlisteningperformance. 【Keywords】Juniorhighschoolstudents,Englishlistening,listeninganxiety,listeningperformance Introduction Inrecentyears,EnglishlanguagelearninghasbecomeapopulartopicinChina.ManystudentsregardEnglishasakeysubjectandanimportantskillforfutureacademicandcareerdevelopment.However,listeningisoftenregardedasoneofthemostdifficultskillstomasterinEnglishlanguagelearning,especiallyforjuniorhighschoolstudents.Inpractice,manystudentsfacetheproblemoflowlisteningscoresorinadequatelisteningcomprehensionintests,whichinturnaffectstheiroverallEnglishperformance.Asaresult,listeninganxietyhasbecomeacommonissueamongjuniorhighschoolstudentsinChina. ThepurposeofthisresearchistoinvestigatetherelationshipbetweenlisteninganxietyandlisteningperformanceofjuniorhighschoolstudentsinaschoolinWuhan.Theresultsofthisstudycouldprovideusefulinformationforteachersandstudentstounderstandthefactorsthataffectlisteningperformanceanddevelopeffectivemeasurestoreducelisteninganxietyandimprovelisteningskills. LiteratureReview Recentresearchhasfocusedontherelationshipbetweenanxietyandlanguagelearningperformance.AccordingtoMacIntyreandGardner(1991),anxietyisafeelingofapprehensionornervousnessinthefaceofathreateningsituation,suchaslanguagelearning.Horwitz,Horwitz,andCope(1986)suggestedthatlanguageanxietymayaffectstudents'languagelearningmotivation,self-confidence,andachievement.Therefore,itisnecessarytopayattentiontotheemotionalfactorsthatmayaffectstudents'Englishlearningperformance.
