英语专业高低分组学生及教师语言学习观念研究的综述报告 Introduction Inrecentyears,therehasbeenanincreasinginterestinstudyingthelanguagelearningattitudesandbeliefsofbothstudentsandteachersinEnglishmajorprograms.Suchresearchisoftenconductedtoidentifypotentialgapsinlanguageproficiency,aswellastobetterunderstandthefactorsthatcontributetosuccessfullanguageacquisition.Thispaperprovidesareviewofexistingliteratureonlanguagelearningattitudesandbeliefsamonghighandlow-scoringstudentsandteachersinEnglishmajorprograms. LanguageLearningAttitudesandBeliefsamongHigh-ScoringStudents Studieshaveshownthathigh-scoringstudentsinEnglishmajorprogramsoftendisplaypositivelanguagelearningattitudesandbeliefs.Forexample,manyhigh-scoringstudentshaveastrongmotivationtolearnEnglish,whichisoftenlinkedtotheircareeraspirationsordesiretostudyabroad.Inaddition,manyhigh-scoringstudentsbelievethatregularpracticeandexposuretoEnglishareessentialtolanguageproficiency,andtheyaremorelikelytoengageinactivitiessuchaswatchingEnglishlanguagemoviesandTVshows,readingEnglishliterature,andparticipatinginEnglishlanguageclubsandactivities. LanguageLearningAttitudesandBeliefsamongLow-ScoringStudents Incontrast,low-scoringstudentsinEnglishmajorprogramsmaydisplaylesspositivelanguagelearningattitudesandbeliefs.Forexample,manylow-scoringstudentslackmotivationtolearnEnglish,whichmaybeduetoalackofinterestinthelanguageordifficultywiththesubjectmatter.Inaddition,somelow-scoringstudentsmaybelievethatlanguageproficiencyisbasedprimarilyonnaturalability,ratherthanconsistenteffortandpractice. LanguageLearningAttitudesandBeliefsamongEnglishTeachers TheattitudesandbeliefsofEnglishteachersalsoplayanimportantroleinthelanguagelearningprocess.Studieshaveshownthatteacherswhohaveapositiveattitudetowardslanguagelearningandteachingaremoreeffectiveatpromotingstudentsuccess.Forexample,teacherswhobelieveintheimportanceofregularpracticeandexposuretoEnglisharemorelikelytoincorporatetheseactivitiesintotheirclassroominstruction.Additionally,teacherswhohaveapositiveattitudetow
