LiteratureReview Functionallinguisticstheorystatesthatlanguageservesapurposeforpeopletofunctioninasocialcommunity.Thistheoryconsidersthreecomponentsoflanguage:theideational(conveyinginformation),interpersonal(facilitatingsocialinteraction),andtextual(organizingandstructuringlanguage).Thetheoryalsoemphasizestheimportanceofcontext,asitaffectshowlanguageisusedandhowitshouldbetranslated. Methodology Thisstudyemploysthefollowingsteps: 1.Collecttextsonconstructionmachineryfromvarioussources,includingmanuals,technicaldocuments,andacademicpapers. 2.Analyzethetextsbasedonthethreecomponentsoffunctionallinguisticstheory. 3.TranslatethetextsintoEnglish,takingintoconsiderationthefunctionalaspectsofthelanguage. Results Basedontheanalysisofthetexts,thefollowingissueswereidentifiedconcerningthetranslationofconstructionmachinerytexts: 1.Terminology:Therearenumeroustechnicaltermsandjargonusedinconstructionmachinerytextsthatrequirepreciseandconsistenttranslationacrossthetext. 2.Grammaticalstructure:Constructionmachinerytextsoftenusepassivevoice,nominalization,andlongsentences,whichcanbechallengingtotranslatewhilemaintainingtheirmeaning. 3.Context:Thecontextofconstructionmachinerytextsisoftenindustry-specific,andtranslatorsneedtounderstandthesocialandtechnicalaspectsoftheindustry. Discussion Thefunctionallinguisticstheoryprovidesavaluableframeworkforthetranslationofconstructionmachinerytexts.Thetheoryemphasizestheimportanceofthecontextofthetext,whichiscrucialinthemachineindustry.Thestudyshowsthatterminology,grammaticalstructure,andcontextareessentialfactorstoconsiderwhentranslatingconstru
