LiteratureReview: Functionalequivalencetheoryisatranslationtheorythatemphasizestheimportanceofconveyingtheintendedfunctionandmeaningofthesourcetextinthetargettext.Thistheoryhasbeenwidelyusedinthetranslationofvariousgenres,anditsapplicationinthetranslationoftouristattractionshasbeenexploredinrecentyears.Theresearchpointsoutthattheeffectiveapplicationoffunctionalequivalencetheoryintouristattractiontranslationnotonlyreflectsthecontentofthetouristattraction,butalsoenhancesthereadabilityofthetextandimprovesthequalityofthetranslation. ResearchMethodology: Toachievetheresearchobjective,thisstudyselectedsixtouristattractionsinChinaascasestudies,includingtheForbiddenCity,theGreatWall,theTerracottaWarriors,theWestLake,LijiangOldTown,andtheZhangjiajieNationalForestPark.TheoriginalChineseintroductionsofthesetouristattractionsweretranslatedintoEnglishusingthefunctionalequivalencetheoryasthetranslationprinciple.Thetranslatedversionswereevaluatedbyanexpertpanelintermsofaccuracy,fluency,andreadability. Results: Theresultsofthestudyshowthattheapplicationofthefunctionalequivalencetheoryinthetranslationoftouristattractionscaneffectivelyconveythemeaningandfunctionoftheoriginaltextsinthetranslatedversions.Thetranslatedversionsarenotonlyaccurateinconveyingthemessageofthetouristattractions,butalsofluentandreadable,makingthemaccessibletoabroaderaudience.However,thetranslationsofsomespecificculturalelementsandhistoricaldetailsstillrequiremoreattentio
