Literaturereview Theliteraturereviewfocusedonthreeareas:keystrategiesandapproachesforeffectiveELTinmiddleschool,theeffectivenessofthesestrategiesandapproachesinpromotingEnglishlanguagelearningandcompetence,andchallengesinimplementingeffectiveELTinmiddleschool. KeystrategiesandapproachesforeffectiveELTinmiddleschoolincludelearner-centeredteaching,communicativelanguageteaching,task-basedlanguageteaching,andtechnology-assistedlanguageteaching(TALT).Theseapproachesputthelearneratthecenterofthelearningprocessandemphasizecommunication,meaningfuluseoflanguage,andpracticaltasks.TALT,inparticular,hasbeenfoundtobeeffectiveinpromotinglanguagelearning,asitoffersmultimediaresources,interactiveactivities,andauthenticcontextsforlanguageuse. TheeffectivenessofthesestrategiesandapproachesinpromotingEnglishlanguagelearningandcompetencehasbeensupportedbyempiricalresearch.Studieshaveshownthattheseapproachespromotelanguagedevelopment,increaselearnermotivationandengagement,andimprovelanguageperformance.
