Normalradiographsofthekneewithanteroposterior(a),lateral(b),andaxial(c)biewdemonstratenormalpatellarpositionandmorphology.Theanteroposteriorprojection(a)isusefulforevalutingthefemurandproximaltibia,femoralandtibialplateaus.Thelateralprojectionisusefulforevaluatingpatellarheight,patellofemoralcompartment,suprapatellarrecess(SR),quadricepstendon(QT),patellartendon(PT).Theaxialviewofthepatellahelpsinassessmentoftheshapeofthepatella,notemedia(MF)andlateral(LF)patellarfacetsandmedianridge(MR).Alsonotenormalandroughanteriorpatellarcortex(bluearrow).
