高中生英语学习动机及相关策略的实证研究 Introduction AsChina'seconomycontinuestodevelopandintegratewiththeglobaleconomy,Englishlanguagelearninghasbecomeanincreasinglyimportantpartofsecondaryschooleducation.Formanystudents,however,theirmotivationtolearnEnglishcanbeaffectedbyavarietyoffactors,includingtheperceiveddifficultyofthesubject,lackofinterestinthematerial,andlackofconfidenceintheirabilitytolearnthelanguage.Thepurposeofthisstudyistoinvestigatethemotivationalfactorsthatinfluencehighschoolstudents'Englishlanguagelearningandthestrategiestheyusetoenhancetheirlearning. Methodology Thestudywasconductedusingamixed-methodsapproachthatinvolvedadministeringasurveyandconductinginterviewswithasampleofhighschoolstudentsinChinawhowerestudyingEnglishasasecondlanguage.Thesurveyconsistedofquestionsrelatedtostudents'motivationtolearnEnglish,theirattitudestowardsthesubject,andtheiruseoflearningstrategies.Theinterviewquestionsfocusedonstudents'experiencesandperceptionsofEnglishlanguagelearning,aswellastheirthoughtsonhowtoimprovetheirlearning. Results Theresultsofthestudyrevealedthatstudents'motivationtolearnEnglishwasinfluencedbyavarietyoffactors,includingtheirpersonalinterests,theimportanceofEnglishfortheirfuturecareers,andtheinfluenceofothers,suchasparentsandteachers.StudentswhoweremoremotivatedtolearnEnglishtendedtohavemorepositiveattitudestowardsthesubjectandweremorelikelytouseeffectivelearningstrategies,suchaspracticingspeakingwithothersandengagingwithEnglish-languagemedia. However,thestudyalsorevealedthatsomestudentslackedmotivationforEnglishlanguagelearning,whichwasoftencausedbyfeelingsofanxietyandlowself-confidence,aswellasalackofinterestinthesubject.Additionally,studentswhofeltthattheirEnglishskillswerebelowaverageoftenstruggledtodevelopeffectivestrategiesforlanguagelearning. Conclusion Inconclusion,thisstudyshowedthatthemotivationtolearnEnglishamonghighschoolstudentsisaffectedbyarangeoffactors,includingpersonalinterests,socialinfluences,andattitudestowardsthesubject.Thestudyalsofoundthatthe
