AnotherchallengerelatedtoEnglishinstructioninhighereducationisthelanguagebarrierthatnon-nativespeakersfacewhencommunicatinginEnglish.Itoftenleadstodifficultiesinunderstandinglectures,comprehendingcomplextexts,andparticipatinginclassdiscussions.Thelanguagebarriercanalsohinderstudentsfromconductingadequateresearchandwritingpapers,leadingtopooracademicperformance.
