Methods: 1.Materials:WildPerillaseedswereusedastherawmaterialforoilextraction.Solvents,includingethanol,n-hexane,andacetone,wereusedfortheextractionprocess. 2.Extractionprocess:TheextractionprocesswasoptimizedusingResponseSurfaceMethodology(RSM).RSMisastatisticaltechniquewidelyusedtooptimizethecombinationofseveralvariablesaffectingagivenresponse.Inthisstudy,fourvariables,includingextractiontime,extractiontemperature,solvent-to-materialratio,andsolventconcentration,wereevaluated.Acentralcompositedesign(CCD)wasusedfortheexperimentaldesign. 3.Oilyield:Theoilyieldwasdeterminedbygravimetricanalysisaftertheextractionprocess. 4.Characterization:ThewildPerillaseedoilwascharacterizedforitsphysicochemicalproperties,includingfattyacidcomposition,totalphenoliccontent,totalflavonoidcontent,andtocopherolcontent. 5.Antioxidantactivity:TheantioxidantactivityofthewildPerillaseedoilwasevaluatedusingvariousantioxidantassays,includingDPPHradicalscavengingactivity,reducingpowerassay,andlipidperoxidationinhibitionassay. ResultsandDiscussion: 1.Optimization
