Introduction: Polyimidefilmshavefoundextensiveapplicationinmicroelectronics,aerospace,andoptoelectronicindustriesduetotheiruniquecombinationofproperties,suchashighthermalstability,excellentmechanicalstrength,andchemicalresistance.However,theirinherentbrittlenessrestrictstheirapplicationincertainscenarios.Toovercomethislimitation,incorporatingcross-linkingagentslikebisphenolAinthepolyimidematrixwouldcontributetoimprovedmechanicalproperties. ExperimentalMethodology: 1.Materials: -Poly(amicacid)resin:preparedbythepolymerizationofbiphenyltetracarboxylicdianhydride(BTDA)andp-phenylenediamine(PDA). -BisphenolA(BPA):usedasacross-linkingagent. -Solvents:N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP)andpyridine. 2.PreparationofPoly(amicacid)Solution: -DissolveBTDAandPDAinNMPtoformapoly(amicacid)solutionbystirringatroomtemperatureforseveralhours. 3.FilmCasting: -Thepoly(amicacid)solutionispouredontoacleanglasssubstrateandthenspunatacontrolledspeedtoobtainuniformfilms. -Thefilmsarecuredinanovenatanappropriatetemperaturetoobtainpolyimidefilms. 4.Cross-linkingReaction: -BPAisdissolvedinpyridine,andtheresultingsolutionisappliedtothetopsurfaceofthepolyimidefilms. -Thefilmsarekeptatanelevatedtemperaturetoinducethecross-linkingreactionbetweenthepolyimidematrixandBPA.
