Introduction: WritingisanessentialskillinthelearningprocessofEnglishlanguagestudents.However,manyhighschoolstudentsstrugglewithexpressingtheirthoughtseffectivelyduetolimitedvocabularyandinsufficientexposuretodiverseEnglishtexts.Thepresentresearchseekstoexploretheimpactofextensivereadingonimprovinghighschoolstudents'Englishwritingskills,therebybridgingthegapbetweentheirreadingandwritingabilities. Methodology: 1.SampleSelection:Agroupofhighschoolstudentswillbeselectedasthetargetpopulationforthisstudy.Theparticipantswillbedividedintotwogroups:anexperimentalgroupandacontrolgroup. 2.Pre-test:Bothgroupswillcompleteapre-testtoassesstheirwritingproficiency,focusingongrammar,vocabularyusage,sentencestructure,andcoherence. 3.Intervention:Theexperimentalgroupwillengageinextensivereadingactivities,wheretheywillbeencouragedtoreadavarietyoftexts,includingfiction,non-fiction,andacademicarticles,bothinandoutsidetheclassroom.Thecontrolgroupwillfollowtheregularsyllabuswithoutanychanges. 4.Post-test:Afterafixedperiod,bothgroupswillundergoapost-testtomeasuretheirprogressinwritingproficiency. 5.DataAnalysis:Thepre-testandpost-testscoreswillbecompared,andstatisticalanalysiswillbeconductedtodeterminetheimpactofextensivereadingonwritingskills.
