Introduction Bohaiatmosphericandvacuumdistillationdieselisanimportantproductofoilrefining.Withtheincreaseindemandfordieselfuel,therefiningindustrycontinuouslyimprovesthequalityofdieselfuel.However,duringtheproductionprocess,thereisanabnormalphenomenonofdieselfuelbeingcoloredanddiscoloredafteralkalinewashing,whichseriouslyaffectsthequalityofdieselfuelandtheeconomicbenefitsoftheenterprise.ThispaperanalyzesthereasonsforthealkalinewashingdyedphenomenonintheproductionofBohaiatmosphericandvacuumdistillationdiesel,andputsforwardtargetedsolutionstoprovideatheoreticalbasisforsolvingthisproblem. Causesofalkalinewashingdyedphenomenon (1)Incompleteneutralizationofacidsubstances Intheproductionprocess,duetoequipmentcorrosionandotherfactors,thereareacidsubstancesinthedieselfuel,whichneedtoberemovedbyalkalinewashing.However,iftheneutralizationofacidsubstancesisnotcomplete,itwillleadtotheformationofcoloredcomplexesanddiscolorationproblemsduringthealkalinewashingprocess. (2)Formationofasphalteneagglomerates Asphalteneagglomeratesareformedduetotheagglomerationofasphaltenemoleculesinthepresenceofapolarsolvent.Intheproductionprocess,ifthetemperatureofthefeedstockistoohigh,thedegreeofpolymerizationofasphaltenemoleculesisincreased,whichmakesiteasiertoformasphalteneagglomerates.Afteralkalinewashing,theformationanddepositionofasphalteneagglomerateswillcausediscolorationofthedieselfuel. (3)Formationofnon-polarcomplexes Non-polarcomplexesareformedbythecombinationofhydrocarbonsandpolarimpurities.Intheproductionprocess,duetothepresenceofdissolvedpolarimpurities,non-polarcomplexeswillbeformedafterthehydrocarbonsareseparated.Iftheneutralizationofpolarimpuritiesisnotcompleteduringalkalinewashing,itwillcausetheformationofnon-polarcomplexes,whichwillleadtodiscolorationofdiesel
