Attention TheattentioncomponentoftheARCSmodelfocusesongrabbingthelearners'interestandcapturingtheirattention.Educatorsneedtouseinstructionalmaterialsthatareengagingandappealing,suchasvideos,pictures,orgamesthatarerelatedtothelearners'interests.Moreover,theinstructorshouldbeenthusiasticandenergetic,makingthelearningenvironmentmorelively.InanEnglishlanguagesetting,teacherscanusereal-lifeEnglishlanguagesituationssuchasrole-playingtogetlearners'attention,thusenhancingtheirmotivation.Itisessentialtorememberthatnotalllearnershavethesameinterestsandpreferences,sovaryingteachingtechniquesshouldbeusedtocatertodifferentlearningstyles.
