Introduction: Rigidretainingwallsarewidelyusedincivilengineeringprojectstostabilizesoilmassesandprovidestructuralsupport.Understandingtherelationshipbetweensoilpressureanddisplacementiscrucialforthedesignandanalysisofsuchstructures.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatethisrelationshipthroughexperimentaltesting.Theresultsobtainedwillcontributetoabetterunderstandingofthebehaviorofrigidretainingwallsandprovideusefulinsightsfortheirdesignandconstruction. Methods: Asmall-scalemodelofarigidretainingwallwasconstructedfortheexperimentalstudy.Themodelwasmadeofsteelandhadaheightof1meter.Itwassupportedbyasteelframetoensurestabilityduringtesting.Thesoilusedintheexperimentswasagranularmaterialwithknownproperties.Variousloadingconditionswereappliedtothewall,includingincrementalloadingandcyclicloading.Soilpressurewasmeasuredusingpressuresensorsembeddedinthesoilmass,andwalldisplacementwasmeasuredusingdisplacementtransducers.
