Introduction: Thereflectivityofcavitymirrorsisafundamentalparameterthatdeterminestheperformanceofopticalcavities.Themeasurementofhighreflectivityischallengingduetothetypicallyhighfinesseofthecavities.Severaltechniqueshavebeendevelopedtoaccuratelymeasurethereflectivity,includingOFCDandPCD.OFCDisbasedonthefeedbackofthecavityoutputtotheinput,whilePCDinvolvesinjectingshort-durationpulsesintothecavityandmeasuringthedecaytime. ExperimentalSetup: TheexperimentalsetupforbothOFCDandPCDtechniquesconsistsofalasersource,acavitywithhighreflectivitymirrors,andaphotodetector.InOFCD,afractionofthecavityoutputisfedbacktothelasersource,creatingaself-feedbackloop.InPCD,short-durationpulsesareinjectedintothecavity,andthedecaytimeismeasuredusingthephotodetector. ResultsandDiscussion: Thereflectivitymeasurementsusingbothtechniqueswereperformedonahighfinesseopticalcavity.OFCDprovidedacontinuousdecaycurve,whilePCDresultedinaseriesofdecayingpulses.Bothtechniquesgaveaccurateestimatesofthereflectivity,butwithslightlydifferentcharacteristics.OFCDprovidedacontinuousmeasurement,whichallowedforamoreprecisedeterminationofthedecaytime.PCD,ontheotherhand,providedaseriesofdiscretedatapoints,whichallowedforamoredetailedanalysisofthedecaybehavior.
