基于CORDIC的高速Sobel算法实现 Title:High-SpeedSobelAlgorithmImplementationbasedonCORDIC Abstract: TheSobelalgorithmiswidelyusedinimageprocessingtaskssuchasedgedetectionduetoitssimplicityandeffectiveness.Inthispaper,weproposeahigh-speedimplementationoftheSobelalgorithmusingtheCORDIC(CoordinateRotationDigitalComputer)algorithm.TheCORDICalgorithmisawell-knowniterativemethodforperformingmathematicaloperations,whichcanbeadaptedtoefficientlyperformtheSobelalgorithmonimagedata.Ourimplementationdemonstratessignificantimprovementsinspeedwhilemaintainingthesamelevelofaccuracyasconventionalimplementations,makingitsuitableforreal-timeedgedetectionapplications. 1.Introduction: Edgedetectionplaysacrucialroleincomputervisionandimageprocessingapplicationsasithelpstoidentifyboundariesbetweendifferentobjectsorregionsinanimage.TheSobelalgorithmisawidelyusedmethodforedgedetectionduetoitssimplicityandeffectiveness.Itinvolvesconvolvingtheimagewithtwodifferentkernelstocomputethegradientmagnitudeanddirectionateachpixel.However,theSobelalgorithmcanbecomputationallyintensive,especiallywhendealingwithhigh-resolutionimages. Inthispaper,weproposeahigh-speedimplementationoftheSobelalgorithmbasedontheCORDICalgorithm.Thegoalistoreducetheexecutiontimeofthealgorithmwhilemaintainingthesamelevelofaccuracy.CORDICisaniterativealgorithmusedforperformingvariousmathematicaloperationsandisknownforitssimplicityandefficiency.ByadaptingtheCORDICalgorithmtotheSobeloperation,wecanachievesignificantspeedimprovements. 2.TheSobelAlgorithm: TheSobeloperatorisadiscretedifferentiationoperator,whichappliestwoconvolutionkernels(Sobelmasks)toanimagetocalculatethegradientinboththehorizontalandverticaldirections.Theconvolutionresultsarethencombinedtocalculatethegradientmagnitudeateachpixel.
