OnOctober16th,2003,China’sfirsttaikonautLieutenantColonelYangLiweilandedsafelyintheShenzhouVcapsuleinInnerMongolia.ItwasacompletesuccessandPremierWenJiabaotelephonedtheControlCentretoofferhiscongratulations.Whilehewastravelinginspace,hespoketothetwoastronautsaboardtheInternationalSpaceStation,theybothwelcomedhimtospace.Manycountriesaroundtheworldsentmassagesofcongratulations,IncludingNASAandtheUnitedNations.TheSecretary-Generalcalledtheflight“astepforwardforthewholeworld”.
