Introduction: Solid-statephasetransitionshavebeenanimportantresearchtopicinmaterialscienceformanyyears.Thesetransitionsinvolvethetransformationofamaterialfromonesolidphasetoanother,andarewidelyobservedinavarietyofalloys.Examplesofsolid-statephasetransitionsincludemartensiticphasetransitionsinsteels,orderingtransitionsinintermetallics,andprecipitationreactionsinalloys.
