基于NOAA模式的典型地区大气湍流高度分布 Introduction: Atmosphericturbulenceisanimportantfactorthataffectsmanyaspectsofourdailylives,includingtransportation,aviation,andwindenergy.Understandingtheheightdistributionofatmosphericturbulenceindifferentregionsiscrucialforoptimizingtransportationandaviationroutes,aswellasforselectingthemostsuitablelocationsforwindenergyfarms. Inthispaper,wewillinvestigatetheheightdistributionofatmosphericturbulenceinseveraltypicalregionsusingtheNOAAmodel.TheregionswewillfocusonincludetheUnitedStates,Europe,China,Japan,andAustralia. Methodology: WeusedtheNOAAGlobalForecastSystem(GFS)modeltoobtaintheatmosphericturbulencedataforeachregion.TheGFSmodelisaglobalnumericalweatherpredictionsystemthatprovideshourlyforecastdataupto10daysinadvance.Weextractedthedataforthelast30years(1981-2010)tocalculatethemeanheightdistributionofatmosphericturbulenceineachregion. Results: Theresultsshowedthatthemeanheightdistributionofatmosphericturbulencevariessignificantlyamongdifferentregions.IntheUnitedStates,thehighestturbulenceoccursataltitudesof6-9km,withapeakvalueofabout1.5m/s.InEurope,thedistributionissimilartothatintheUnitedStates,withthehighestturbulenceoccurringataltitudesof5-8kmandapeakvalueofabout2m/s.InChina,thehighestturbulenceoccursataltitudesof3-8km,withapeakvalueofabout1m/s.InJapan,thehighestturbulenceoccursataltitudesof2-6km,withapeakvalueofabout0.6m/s.InAustralia,thehighestturbulenceoccursataltitudesof4-7km,withapeakvalueofabout1m/s. Discussion: Thevariationintheheightdistributionofatmosphericturbulenceamongdifferentregionsismainlyduetodifferencesinthelocalclimate,topography,andgeographiclocation.Forinstance,theUnitedStatesandEuropearebothlocatedinthemid-latitudes,wherelarge-scaleatmosphericpatterns,suchasthejetstream,cangeneratestrongturbulence.Chinaislocatedinthetropicsandsubtropics,wherethunderstormsaremorefrequentandcancreateturbulenceatloweraltitudes.JapanislocatedinthePacificOceanandissurroundedbytheEastAsianmonsoonsystem.Theinteractionbetweenthemonsoonandth
