Introduction: ActinobacteriaareagroupofGram-positivebacteriawithhighG+CcontentintheirDNA.Theyarewidelydistributedinvariousecologicalniches,includingsoil,marineenvironments,andplants.Actinobacteriaarewell-knownfortheirabilitytoproduceadiversearrayofsecondarymetaboliteswithremarkablebioactivities,suchasantibiotics,antivirals,anticanceragents,andimmunosuppressants.Thesemetabolitesareofgreatimportancetohumanhealthandhavebeenwidelyappliedinthepharmaceuticalindustry. NaphthacemycinsareauniqueclassofantitumorantibioticsproducedbyActinobacteria.TheyexhibitpotentcytotoxicactivityagainstcancercellsbyinducingDNAdamageandinhibitingtheactivityoftopoisomerases.However,theclinicalapplicationofnaphthacemycinsislimitedbytheirpoorsolubilityandpotentialtoxicity.Glycosylationisacommonmodificationprocessinnaturalproductbiosynthesisandhasbeenutilizedtoimprovethebioactivity,pharmacokinetics,andphysicochemicalpropertiesofnaturalproducts.Therefore,understandingtheglycosylationofnaphthacemycinsmayprovideinsightsintotheirenhancementandutilizationincancertreatment.
