中国英语学习者Wh-疑问句习得研究 Introduction Learningalanguageisacomplexprocess,anditinvolvestheacquisitionofdifferentcomponentssuchasvocabulary,pronunciation,grammar,andsentencestructure.Oneoftheessentialpartsoflanguageacquisitionistheabilitytoaskquestions,anditisparticularlycrucialincommunicatingwithothers.InEnglish,therearedifferenttypesofquestions,includingYes/Noquestions,Wh-questions,andTagquestions.Wh-questionsarequestionsthatbeginwithWh-wordssuchasWho,What,Why,When,Where,andHow.TheacquisitionofWh-questionsisacriticalaspectoflanguagelearning,andthispaperaimstoexploretheacquisitionofWh-questionsamongChineselearnersofEnglish. Background ChineselearnersofEnglishfacenumerouschallengesinacquiringthelanguage.Oneofthesignificantchallengesisthegrammarstructure,whichdifferssignificantlyfromChinese.TheChineselanguageisknownforitslackofinflection,andthiscanposechallengeswhenlearningEnglishbecauseinflectionisanessentialcomponentofEnglishgrammar.Wh-questions,inparticular,canbechallengingtolearn,andthisisattributedtothefactthatthesyntaxofWh-questionsdiffersfromthatofstatements.InChinese,questionsareformedbyaddingaquestionparticleattheendofastatement,whileinEnglish,questionsrequireachangeinwordorder. PreviousresearchhasshownthatChineselearnersofEnglishstrugglewithWh-questions.Forinstance,WangandQu(2013)investigatedtheacquisitionofWh-questionsamongChineselearnersofEnglishandfoundthatlearnersoftenomitormisuseWh-wordsintheirquestions.TheyalsofoundthatlearnersoftenstrugglewiththecorrectwordorderinWh-questions,leadingtoungrammaticalsentences.Similarly,ShenandJin(2016)exploredtheacquisitionofWh-questionsamongChineselearnersofEnglishandfoundthatlearnersstrugglewithdifferenttypesofWh-questions,includingYes/NoquestionsandWh-questions. Methods ThisstudyusedaqualitativeresearchdesigntoinvestigatetheWh-questionacquisitionamongChineselearnersofEnglish.Thestudyinvolved30undergraduateChinesestudentswhowerestudyingEnglishasasecondlanguageinauniversityinChina.Theparticipantswereselectedpurposively,andthey
